I have a particular fondness for the genus Astragalus (“locoweeds”, “milkvetches”); shown here is one of many endemic to Arizona, Astragalus mollissimus var. mogollonicus, collected from the understory of the ponderosa pine forest just north of Tusayan, Arizona.
